Solution: Insert end of Dessert Spoon into Fork prongs to form an arch (some force required but no damage!). Then take a new wooden match, insert it through the prongs almost fully and balance the match on your fingertip, allowing the fork and spoon to hang either side. Practise at home first until you get the knack (you will soon feel the centre of gravity). Then (with a roll on the drums!) transfer the match/cutlery to the extreme edge of the glass and lift the glass carefully for extra effect. This is a very impressive balancing 'trick' which takes under a minute. Cheers!

Kopend - most levitation illusions are fairly easy - some use gimmicks (things to help the magician that are not seen by the audience) - but there are some fairly easy ones too.
Most of my work is table/close up/street magic so I do a lot of card work and mentalism.
The effects that people sem to enjoy the most are a type of bullet catch that I do, sawing through my arm with a knife, and threading a large needle with a length of string and then putting it through my arm.
The trick that my fiercest critic (my wife) enjoys the most is where she thinks of a card and it is the only one in a deck that she has been holding that has a different colour back.
My favourite is an effect called out of this world invented by Paul Curry - a spectator deals the pack into two piles - they choose which card goes into each pile - at the end they have seperated all the reds into one pile and the blacks into another - and it all happens in the spectators hands
