1. Buy/borrow the Haynes manual. or 2. Look at how the current belt is fitted - there will be an adjusting mechanism usually attached to the alternator and is usually a slotted piece of metal with a bolt through it that can be loosened to allow slack for removal/replacement and final adjustment before tightening the bolt, its common practice to use a screwdriver to lever against the alternator in order to tension the belt before tightening the bolt. The belt should not move more then 10mm sideways when properly tensioned. Good Luck
