Just called the vet and she said that Tigger hasn't been eating and that she can feel a growth on her pancreas. If they anesthetize to check inside her she may not wake up as she is so week. I have to go and see her before 12pm when they do the invasive surgery to see whats going on.
What I did with one of mine I said if you proceed with surgery and you can do nothing just don't wake her up again... it was inoperable...they didn't and I know she was spared additional pain.
Poor Tiggs - I really feel for you, I know how I felt when my lovely 19 yr old dog had to be put to sleep. It was 40 years ago but I have never ever forgotten him, they are part of the family. Love and hugs to you xx
So sorry for you tigger, I wen't through the same a couple of years ago, Jess was 20, I went to surgery just to make sure it was not a blockage, Unfortunately it was a mass, I did not wan't her to wake up so had her put to sleep, I do not regret my decision for surgery, but jess was fit and strong, best of luck in any decision you make, Will be thinking about you this afternoon, xxx
Oh Tigger, I'm so sorry to hear your news. It's always hard when our furry friends leave us, I know exactly how you feel we went through this a year or so ago with our dear chap Jess, and just a few weeks ago with our Hamish.
Please let us know how things go
