For people who didnt like classic music before Andre makes it sounds so much nicer. Yes he plays a lot of music that everyone must know. Old and new tunes.
I have even got my husband and friends onto Andre Rieu's music. We cannot like everything that other people do , it is a matter of taste.
I am so excited about seeing him and my husband is also looking forward to it.

Was at Andre's concert at SECC on 12.12.12. What a night, but SECC must seem like a dump compared to his usual venues. I have been on a high since, but I think we ladies secretly love him and the men want to be him... Go on, admit it. What elegance, with a twinkle in his eye. I now have six DVDs of him ... Maastricht here I come !!
I was at the concert in Glasgow too.Absolutely wonderful-pity about the"Romantic Hall" but i don't think Andre minded too much. The finale just put the finishing touch to an evening of great entertainment.I have 19 recordings of his concerts which were on Sky Arts and several DVDs. Watch them when I want to relax.Hope he makes a return visit to Britain soon.
