BBC wildlife brilliant as usual but realistically its much of the same old stuff. And why do we need to spend licence money dropping DA on top of a mountain in Africa when its not necessary at all for the prog?

ps His rendition of 'Its a beautiful world' was excrutiating.
johnny, I think you'll find that most of us disagree with you - DA makes the programme, he's a wonderful experienced presented.

I don't have HD, it was magic enough in ordinary TV.
I can't add much that hasn't already been said, it was stunning. It's the kind of television that makes paying licence money worthwhile.
.....but the giant crickets! Ugh!
wonderful photography. DA can stand on all the mountaintops of the world to introduce this sort of thing, I'll happily pay.

Less wonderful music, though.
Whilst I do like wildlife documentaries anyway, the fact that David Attenborough appears on this one makes it for me.

I adore David Attenborough- he really is a special man indeed.

Actually, I kinda agree but for a different reason. There was one series (I can't remember which) where Attenborough didn't appear on screen and I thought, "Uh oh...I hope he's not getting too frail to do this any more". So seeing him on screen sort of reassured me.

There wasn't any real point to him actually being there...but I liked that he was.

Next week - battling elephants. Hoorah.

(PS. I totally agree about his rendition of 'What A Wonderful World'. He's no Adele).
Battling elephants? ouchy! The giraffe one made me wince, I thought it was dead!
ARRRRRGGH

It sounds as if I missed something special .
This sort of programme is what i love to watch .

sp1814 you mentioned Yellowstone National Park - I love to watch documentaries about life there .
