Does anyone know ? How many cigarette can I bring home from Malta into northern Ireland ? Is it 3200 or 800 .

In theory, under EU regulations you can bring in as much as you like, provided it's for your own use. In practice, if you bring in more than a few hundred, you are likely to be questioned by Customs Officers and required to satisfy them that it is genuinely for your own use.
