Can you think of anything else that tastes different depending on the method of consumption?

We've got one of those Chimineas, for the patio and if the weathers nice enough to sit out at night we often toast some bread on it or do a couple of potatoes for supper.

Some years ago when I was kitchen fitting I was offered a cup of tea and it was served up in a filthy, enamel white mug with rust all over it.
Looked as though it came from the first world war trenches. Probably the last time it was washed as well.
I didn't find out how the tea tasted. Just disposed of the tea when the householder wasn't looking.

Yes I can think of may things that taste different depending on the method of consumption but I'd probably be banned for going into details.
