Night Sweats
13 Answers
My wife (74) has been suffering night sweats for about a year. She wakes in the middle of the night and has to throw back her duvet for a few minutes whilst she cools off. Otherwise she is fine.
Surely she shouldn't be suffering this way so long after her menopause. Any suggestions (serious ones please) from other sufferers.
Thanks.

puzzled....I have seen these "pink spots" mentioned before by atalanta as a sign of pulmonary tuberculosis, but i have never seen these facial spots in a lifetime of medicine.
Simon Bolivar's wife is 74 years of age and the two conditions that come to mind are PTB and thyroid disorders....bot extremely unlikely.....ruthandsam seems to have the answer.

sqad i think she means a pink area on the cheek....like a rosy cheek...
Historically (not that I am old enough to remember) the "look" of TB was skin pallor due to anaemia with pink cheeks like a doll.
