I have two AB icons on my desktop and if I open both up on the screen I find there are differences in the advertisements . I can switch backwards and forwards and they are different. Why is that ?
Yes but why different ads in the same place at the same time ?
I can click fast backwards and forwards so the difference in time is a fraction of a second. They also remain there for a while so a minute later they are still different. In effect my AB programme is receiving two different
ADs in exactly the same spot on the AB wndow.
I'm looking at two different ads as I write. I know that if I click on the home icon top left it takes me to the AB home age but if I click on the other window Home icon it takes me to the IE Home page. So that would account for different ADs being transmitted but that would still require me to have two AB programmes on my PC. Which would imply we all have different AB programmes depending on the source.

The ads are allocated specifically to your browser when the session is started. It's like asking "how come I get a different number every time I roll the die?" It doesn't matter what the timing is between each roll, it's still a different roll.
