Can i used ground coriander to replace chopped fresh coriander? i realise its not quite the same but is the flavour still the same?

No, they are quite different.

What is the recipe? If carrot soup then both can be used but with different results.
Fresh fresh fresh !

the dried/ground stuff is about as bland and tasteless as can be, you can hardly notice the taste of it

its on bbc good food site 'Masala Chicken Pie' i wont be able to get any fresh before i make it so hope it will be good without?
ground corriander is the seeds whilst fresh is the leaves, so different tastes.

That sounds nice.

Given all the other flavours going on you probably won't miss the fresh coriander too much. If you want a bit of fresh greenery then parsley will be OK.
Coriander spice and coriander herb are very different things.

Did you know you can add a shake of coriander spice to a fresh fruit salad ?
I always use an orange juice base for my fruit salads and the coriander blends very well with the tartness of the juice.
