I don't know enough about the first case - Sexual assault can cover a very wide range of actions

I do think that the second case however then displayed a pattern and that was the point where things definitely went wrong

I do think that there's a case for re-examining whether child pornography cases should be handled by magistrates

I believe the previous conviction concerned an appalling sexual assault and robbery of a female child and served only five months detention and a training order which he later breached and was fined £15. He still remained in the community despite having been further convicted of MAKING indecent pictures of young girls. There does not seem to be info available at this time regarding a rape and another attempted rape which has been left to lie on file.

Its not just jurisdiction that needs to be looked into as we often see pathetic sentences handed out also by the Crown courts.

For the record, I have never complained about, reported, got banned or grassed on RG1. He seems to get himself banned by not obeying the same rules as the rest follow.

Personally, I would re-instate R1G but ban the posts when he obviously is inebriated and abusive. I would make him a special case because, like AOG, I tend to mostly disagree with his posts, but he does add something to this site.

i too wondered at the lenient sentence handed down first time, was watching this on the news last evening and couldn't get the thought out of my head that had the law done it's job for the first crime, he may not have been out to do this. It's second guessing, but when you hear what he did to the second young lass i can't help thinking what will the girl and the parents be going through and wonder at the justice system for letting this predator walk free. Not even on the sex offenders register.. vile

I wondered when I would get a mention, but I thought it would have been somehow woven into this savage's actions simply because he happened to be black.

I often get accused of being racist if I dare to report on such cases, but then the usual suspects seem to be noticeable by their absence on this one, for some strange reason.

On the radio this morning, they were interviewing some experts regarding this case, and there was talk about him being mentally disturbed, and suggestions about a deprived background, and suggestions that he might have been abused as a child himself.

So get ready for a sympathetic sentence maybe.

No - you know why you get accused of being a racist. It's because you will highlight cases like these when the suspect is black, but will ignore very similar cases where the suspect is white.

Also, you have stated that you would not hire Nigerians, because of your admitted prejudices.

And you have stated that black people aren't shown to be villains enough in films and television programmes.

And you post a link to a story about Joss Stone for no other reason but to highlight that the suspects were black.

That's why people accuse you of being a racist.
