Walk and cycle.
I also have stopped running my kids everywhere, it got to the point on my day off when I would be doing 2 or 3 trips to tesco to get them each their shopping, it would be daughter & BF one trip then my eldest son and his GF and the babies on a second trip and sometimes my youngest son would ring and ask me to run him to tesco too, i'd sometimes do as many miles on a day off as the 26 mile round trip to work. Just by shopping around I saved over £400
