I understand from Gness that people have missed me and wonder why I haven't been on here so often? I truly haven't done a "flounce" just been involved in various life happenings, some happy (birthday parties) and some sad (2 funerals of friends) I haven't felt much like joining in some of the conversations lately but I do try to keep up with genuine AB news. Sorry I missed some birthdays, but the owners hadn't told me their dates! Will try another post to get more dates of ABer birthdays ... x

My next birthday is a special one! OH has a special one this year. His birthday will also be our ruby wedding anniversary! I'm predicting a lot of partying.
Especially when 90 ABers turn up, you will be partying hard, horseshoes!
Rusty....I slowed down...just for you....but now!!!!! ;-) x

Ann, you will laugh at this (or I hope you might). We just had to get my grandmother's birth certificate to get her a passport to go on the "Italian Campaign" later this year. Turns out her birth certificate is one day out from the date we've always celebrated! lol

Barmaid - my story is similar, my Dad's middle name was always Alec on all official documents but after he died and they found his birth certificate my grandmother had really named him Alex (for Alexander)
We recently found out that my mother's birthday is 15th April. She, and we, have always celebrated it on 27th November. The care home staff were surprised when none of us turned up last month to celebrate her 90th....we were waiting for November not thinking it was in their records as April. x
Hi Ann. Long time no see.
It appears our lives have been running parallel.
Good to see you back.
