Just saw the next question , sorry. I don't know what the tune is called but it was used as the theme tune for a 1980s children's wildlife programme on BBC1. Possibly the one with Terry Nutkin in it. Maybe I have pushed someone else in the right direction and they will remember.

I think it was one of those BBC children's nature programmes from the early 1970's. The sort introduced by Tony Soper.

Something like "Soper at Large".

Or else it is a Schools programme theme.

i still whistle that tune but dont actually know the programme! i do know, however, that it was indeed a kids wildlife programme from the early 80's with tony soper.
