The cream colored butt of a cigarette has little light colored yellow bits on it. Is this to simulate the look of a cork by any chance? Weird question I know!

Many years ago (before the old King died), the filters of cigarettes were made of cork. When cork was substituted for cheaper more modern materials, many manufacturers continued the cork look.
