It appears that the Advertising Standards Authority has received over a dozen complaints, over this, Wow!!!

Is the go home or face arrest poster campaign racist.

According to a poll conducted on a local London radio station Opinion Poll

78.8% said No
and 21.2% said Yes

The posters are aimed at ANYONE living ILLEGALLY in this country. This could be your blond-haired bronzed aussie whose visa has run out, just as easily as your Asian or African who came on 'holiday' and never went home. Are these posters going to prompt all the Illegals to hand themselves in? Not an effing hope in hell so the question should be 'Whats the point???

They appear to be stuck here in UK with no chance of funding their own ways back to India.

I'm sure there are other nationalities similarly stuck, but as this article appeared is readily linked to, I thought the 'circumstances' were the important thing rather than the race, etc. of those featured.

Agree with Naomi - and no it is not racist. What is the difference between this and warnings on shop doors that shoplifters WILL be prosecuted. Is that racist too. Having said that, I doubt if the vans will do any good but you have to start somewhere. I would rather money be spent on targeting gang masters and employers of illegal immigrants and I would rather the law comes down heavily on their punishment!!! Illegal immigrants are being used as virtual slaves.
