The questioner only asked for clarification of the situation. It sounds to me like he was, at worst, being a bit stupid and thoughtless, and now regrets what happened. But what happened was still only an exchange of a phone number, which in itself is not a criminal offence, as far as I'm aware (obviously it could be if it was just one part of a grooming procedure).
Also, 'secret lusting' is not yet a criminal offence (if it is, we'd all be in trouble), so to say he's 'obviously been up to something' is a bit heavy, in my opinion.
This raises a question I have thought about for some time. When is a peodophile not a peodophile?
As far as I know it is illegal to have sex with any under age child ( 16 years old ) but quite often 17 and 18 year old men have sex with under age females without any charges being laid upon them. So question, how old would you have to be before you can be had up and placed on the sex register?
Only interested, as I dont think the answer applies to me at 67 years old.
