I have been experiencing this for about 2 weeks now on and off. I have put it down to a type of migraine. Has anybody else had this with migraine ?

I don't suffer with migraine, but the symptoms that you are describing are not unusual with migraine.

No idea how old you are, but for some obscure reason tingling, pins and needles in the face is also common in and around the menopause.

I am in my late 50's Sqad. Now and again I have my 'migraine week', but this pins and needles sensation is something new. I know this may sound silly, but I am blaming my recent starting of taking Omega 3. My husband says this is stupid as its only fish oils, but I am starting to wonder. The first week I took the supplement, I was fine, then this started towards the second week of taking them.
You may be right fusion, but i have never known these symptoms that you describe with Omega 3.

I suppose that you could stop taking them for a month ans see what happens.
Is the pins and needles around the mouth/lips? Is it a tingling? Maybe it`s the start of a reaction to fish oil.

I eat quite a lot of salmon so don't think I am allergic to fish. Yes, I have it right now 237SJ, on the left side of my face, from temple to side of lip. Also the other day, I had a funny twitching sensation in my chin, a bit like when your eyelid twitches, but my chin wasn't twitching, it just felt like it.
Just another thought Fusion....a rank outsider, but it could herald the onset of shingles.............watch out for a rash.

I'll keep a lookout, Sqad.

just been chatting to a friend, who thinks that the 1,000mg grams of Omega 3 is far too much and that could be what my problem is.
1,000 mgms of Omega 3 is a modest dose.
Glad you said that Sqad as that's the dose Mr YS and I have taken for some time without any ill effects, though I realise everyBODY is different.
I associate pins and needles with oxygen starvation caused by interruption in local blood circulation. Are there any other conditions, such as nerve damage which also trigger this symptom?

I am also trying to remember which vitamin causes peripheral nerve damage if you overdose it - is it Vitamin A?

@Fusion5,
my short answer is consult your GP about this and make sure they're aware of what dietary supplements you are taking.
