Hi All
Has anyone had the above and if so did it help?
I have been referred for depression because of constant pain and I am hoping it may help, even if only a little bit.
Any comments please?
Thanks

Statistically it has a good success rate and many pain management clinics have it as part of their treatment package. Have you ever been referred to a pain management clinic?
Hi
Thanks for your reply.
Yes, I have been to a pain management clinic. Don't know if it was the Doctor I saw or not but basically it was a case of "you are going to have to live with it as there is nothing we can do to improve it".
That cheered me up no end as you can imagine!!
GP has referred me to this to try before I try medication.

I think it depends on the person. Different things help different people.
I had a private one suggested, back in the days when I could afford it. She did CBT and was absolutely fantastic and if I had the money I'd have carried on going.
They may be able to help with like coping techniques or just giving you an outlet to be able to talk about it, especially as it can be hard to speak to others about things without sounding like you are moaning and maybe give you some validation it's ok to feel certain things but also find ways to help you cope.
