I tend to burn using Napster which is free (the drag and drop is very user friendly). You can import music to it from your own sources not just purchases from Napster. I have been buying downloads from mp3search.ru which cost 10cents (about 6p) per track and doen't seem to have viruses you can get with some free sites.

does the napster software have the tools u get with nero like cutting out the silence at the end of the tracks & telling you how much you can fit on the cd.

Try jetaudio, it's a free download, has it's own burning software (not the quickest in the world, but...) and handles just about any file type you care to mention.
