But, why do these people get anonymity orders imposed. Now he has slipped through the net, we all worry to what end? If there is reasonable doubt as to this persons activities in the first place, should we know?

I would hope that once a person has been identified as a potential threat to the security of this country that they would either be arrested or at least have their movements monitored.
The fact that this man was being monitored sort of nullifies your argument don't you think?
