My new HP all-in-one printer will not let me open 'Scan a document or photo' from the HP Printer Assistant.
How can I remedy this and get it to work?

I've got a scanning button on my HP printer - i just press that after putting the document on the screen, then it scans it into My Documents (NB it scans upside down for me). Does that help?

Try this one:
make sure scanner is switched on and document is on the glass
Open 'paint' and choose 'import from scanner or camera'
That should give you all the options you need, hopefully
Thank you, rubbish or kiss my arris would be nice. In yer own time.
What model printer have you got and how is it connected to your computer and also what OS are you using ? When you loaded the software did you state how you would want your printer to be connected to your computer eg. wireless or by cable. Did you also install all of the software on the disc. Most new printers are installed on a wireless network to enable tablets and IPads to be able to access the printer.
