Celebrity marriages don't seem to stay the course, and you can usually predict that they won't last, however I genuinely believed that these 2 would. They both seemed pretty grounded- such a shame.

I really can't understand how you can describe a successful band like coldplay as 'dreadful' yet praise the likes of Whigfield. Baffling...."
OK, first things first - my musical taste denies me the dubious luxury of musical snobbery - in any form.
I describe Coldplay as dreadful because that is my opinion, I really don't like their music, but I fully accept that they are massively popular, and my dislike will not stop me interviewing their drummer in a few days time - if arrangements come through - but that is professional, not personal.
As far as Whigfield is concerned, my love is for the song - Saturday Night - not the artist. i think it is a classic piece of Euro-pop, but the singer herself is irrelavent - it could be anyone for me.

ELVIS68 - "Can't understand andy hughes slating Coldplay but likes Kylie"
What's not to understand?
Coldplay make doom-laden pseudo-serious rock schlock with a po-faced singer who writes bad lyrics and has an awful voice.
Kylie sings someone else's pop gems, and looks fabulous doing it - they are about as far apart as its possible to be in every single way.
No dichotomy there that I can see.
