I have a good watch which stopped when the battery ran out. New battery replaced but it still will not start up. What is the matter?

maybe it wasn't the battery...? Or have you put the battery in correctly? If not the latter then you'll have to visit the watch repairers i'm afraid
If it is a good watch, and I have no reason not to beleive you, it could be a duff battery. Wont be the first time this has happened.Hope so for your sake.Good luck.
Some watches (better ones) need to be reset by pulling out the crown either half or full way and then one of the buttons held till you see the clock face reset to 12pm. It might take a few tries with different combinations of watches with more than one button. Hope it helps......
I have a similar watch, on mine you have to make a contact between two electrodes inside the watch to reset it. The jewler knew how to do it and it was in the manual.
How to fix...... 1. put watch on wrist 2. hold length of copper wire in other hyand 3. place wire into elecrtic plug socket 4. watch will work now
