To Eat Breakfast Or Not To Eat Breakfast That Is The Question.
30 Answers
I have been in either camp up to now and I recently decided to have a go at the "eat breakfast" side again, after 2 days of feeling nauseous straight after eating breakfast I remembered why I stopped before. Anyway we are always being told that breakfast is vital etc etc so I decided to try and figure out why I was feeling sick and I came across this:

so now I'm completely confused! should I eat breakfast and if so how to I stop feeling uncle dick for a couple of hours after?
PS I don't often foray into this section so be gentle ok!

We are all different and live by different rules according to our bodies.
My own body tells me as soon as i wake up that i need to eat!!!! I haven't eaten for about 6 hours so i get some scran down me.
Maybe you should try different breakfasts and decide which one tastes nice and makes you feel nice

I am with the not eating breakfast brigade. I cannot face eating anything apart from a cup of tea first thing in the morning. I have always been that way and will not change my habits. I can quite easily go until lunch without feeling hungry, but if I do force anything down early in the morning, then I find I am hungry by mid morning, I guess it has something to do with getting the metabolism going?
Agree with treetops that back in the ancient days past, it was called breaking your fast, it would be interesting to find out when it became the accepted norm for everyone to eat early in the day, most people back then could not afford to have food when they wanted it!
As shown in the article, our early ancestors ate when they could find food, rather than the current thinking of 3 meals a day. I guess it is down to whatever sits best with you rather than following what seems to be the accepted norm.

Like kvalidir, i also never used to bother with breakfast - or quite often, dinner - and my first meal of the day would be about 6pm though i might have a Mars bar and a bottle of milk about 1pm. Then i was disgnosed with diabetes and now eat my 3 meals a day, like a good little chap, and, to be totally honest, i am more than ready for brekky when i get up. As i am well and truly 'on top' of my diabetes, i must be doing something right.
