Try the Snugglesafe heat pad, it's a pad that you heat in the microwave then pop under the dog's blanket, it costs around �20

There are plenty of cheap electric ones on ebay, �10-�20, we got one for our cat.

Works like an electric blanket.

The problem with an electric blanket, especially with an older dog, is that if they become incontinent, they might wet the bed, and as we all know, water and electricity don't make a very good mix.
