I recently a purchased a pair of shoes then returned them because they were bad fitting. These shoes were purchased at the full price but when I took them back to the store they said they could only give me sale price refund because they were in their sale at the time of return Is this right...
If the shoes didn't fit, they don't actually have to give you anything back - it's up to you to make sure they fit before you buy them. Some retailers (Asda for example) would give a full refund but only with a receipt - without a receipt they would only give you the amount they scan at the time.
Did you have a proof of purchase from when you bought them?
In my experience the only time a lower refund is offered is when you cannot prove the purchase.
Having said that if you bought the shoes in person would you not have realised then that they were ill fitting.......having had the opportunity to try them on?
