Bleeding between periods

Sorry to be so basic,but yesterday after a very lovely hour in bed with my man I got up and noticed blood on the bed.When I went to the bathroom I was bleeding as tho I had started a period - but my lasy one only finished 11 days ago.It stopped within the hour and nothing since but is this anything to worry about? I havent had this before and dont want to bother my doctor for nothing.

Go to the doctor. This happened to me and I have a cervical abrasion. I have to go to hospital next month as a day patient for a simple opp. Bother your doc thats what he is there for.

awww,thats wot I didnt wana hear Netty - I soooo hate the hospital!! Mind you - last period 11 days ago was absolute agony - I had to take constant painkillers which isnt like me at all - would that be connected??

It could be that you just hurt yourself during sex without realising it. Maybe just leave this one, but see next time you have sex, and make sure it doesn't happen again. If it does, go to the Doc.

It may well be an abrasion ~ but it shouldn't need any surgery unless it causes constant discomfort. I have had this several times (either due to childbirth or *ahem* over enthusiastic nookie) & never had to have treatment..quite often it heals on it's own :o)

Don't hesitate to go to the docs if it does cause further problems though, ya' hear?

You may need to use something like KY Jelly in case you are a bit dry, this could cause an abrasion.

If it is around the time you would expect to ovulate it could be ovulation spotting which is nothing to worry about according to my doctor.

Thankyou all for your answers - I will see what happens next time,tho I dont think I'll tell my doc I was over-enthusiastic in the bedroom department - he'll be grinning for weeks!!
