Inconsiderate Parking
26 Answers
We had 'permit holders only' parking foisted upon as a few years ago and it's first come first served when the restrictions end (at 3.30pm).
Is there ANY comeback for the inconsiderate ****s who take up two spaces with their one car? It does my head in, the spaces are so limited.

You know the craic, be pally and chatty. It would go against the grain with me but sometimes with fools you have to indulge them. They normally respond positively.
I don't understand the 3:30pm bit. Surely you need the space to be there for you when you get home from work? Pay and display until 3:30pm I could understand.
Charging council-tax-paying residents to patk outside their own houses is taking liberties and bordering on diabolical.
But we know which political party starves councils run by their opposite party such that they have to resort to money-making schemes like speeding fines and town centre parking.
You can end up with resident permit schemes imposed because most people don't want to pay the one-pound minimum charge (1 hours' worth) to get into the multi-storey for a shopping mission which would only take ten minutes. They'll stick the car in a residential side-street and try to get back while the warden is still giving it benefit of the doubt.
Of course, logic dictates you cut out that hassle altogether, go to the town-edge shopping centre, instead - get the same product at face value (or better) because you can park for free.
Anyone would think town-centre parking fees was inspired by a cabal of superstore owners, lobbying the above-referenced political party.
Not forgetting superstores can set up their own butcher, baker, fishmonger, chemists, optician, clothing, Argos/Dixons/Halfords equivalents and still only pay one lot of business rates. Councils really missed a trick there -and- killed their own high streets, in the process.
