my boyfriend - who's not the most gushing soppy guy - sending me a txt saying he loves me.Daft I know.x

When my nephew sees me and puts the biggest smile on his face and I just feel adored by him.

When the sun is out and the birds are singing.

When I wake up with a text on my phone from my boyfriend that he sent when he knew I was sleeping so that he knew I would wake up to it. (he works shifts!!)

My daughter. Usually miserable as sin when I wake up, but as soon as I see her smile (she's always pleased to see me bless her) I can't help but smile with her.

My niece (16 months) has started to hold my hand when we're walking and takes me to show me things- she'll only offer her hand to me... She's my star. When I'm upset, she'll pucker her lips for a big wet kiss. x

The fact that my youngest daughter completely unselfconciously still calls me Daddy, and will always hug and kiss me on greeting or farewell, no matter where we are, or who is watching. She's 17 on Friday!

My gf when she smiles at me and I know that that smile is for me and me alone

My cats waiting in the garden for me when I get home from work and then miaowing and rubbing round me when I walk through the gate. Bless

Pottering in my garden & lucking the first home-grown beans, lettuces, tomatoes, etc.
Starting to read a book that I sense I will enjoy.
Listening to my favourite music
A delicious home-cooked meal

When I think about it, most of these activities are free and others cost very little, so I'm quite happy not to aspire to reaching the Rich List!

Meeting up with my wife.

I also love to see little girls playing with their mam or dads faces, you know, when they get hold of their faces with both their hands and their mam or dad makes them laugh. Brings back memories of when our three daughters when tiny tots.

We've now got a shi-tzu puppy who gets hold of your face with both paws when you pick her up. What a softee I am!

Have to laugh at gazzawazzas reply. As soon as our little one smiles, I give her a cuddle. She then promptly pulls hair / nostrils / lips / adam's apple. She hurts sometimes but I still can't help but carry on smiling!!

Being at home with a cold, on my day off and my boyfriend coming home from work with some goats cheese. He knows how much I love it and he thought it would cheer me up.
