activate more things on my laptop that I could never begin to do myself by just walking across it (which she does very regularly and very deliberately). It's a Dell Inspiron and with a couple of steps she can:
Turn off the internet
Bring up the battery meter
change the ?? to projector view ?
Bring up the brightness control
Make the text really small
show all downloads at the bottom of the screen
and most spectacularly change it to portrait view or upside down
A lot of them I don't know how to rectify, is she particularly techie?
LOL! I recently decided in a stupid moment to dust the keyboard while the PC was on -took 2 hours and a frantic phone call to 'techie' SIL to put my PC right!
LOL since I posted this she's turned off the internet and brought up the projector view thingy!
yes I've had to go on another device to find out how to turn off the portrait and upside down view.
Many years ago I had a computer that kept crashing, leaving a gobbledygook error message on the screen. The problem never seemed to occur while I was actually using my computer and I spent ages, without success, trying to research what the error message meant. It wasn't until I actually witnessed the crash occurring that I worked out that it actually meant "Your cat has walked over your keyboard again!"
;-)
Know the feeling well ... the other day I had to call the bank because I'd frozen my account through trying to open it with a password that was locked on capitals only I couldn't see it of course ... guess who !!
