I agree with JJ, the overprescrib ing of drugs is costing the NHS £millions and is a concern for many professional s in the medical field, particularly antibiotics and anti -depressive drugs.

My repeat prescription is a large carrier bag full but they are drugs I need and use.
I make sure that I go through my repeat script every month and only tick off the items I need, so I don't end up with extra of ones I don't, more as and when drugs.
I've actively asked for it at times too, when they just say they will order everything for next month, if I know there are some items I can do without.
I get some looks sometimes but it is none of anyone else's business what I take and there are some bulkier items which make the bag look bigger.
I undertake medical reviews with my GP and with the pharmacist and, if I think that a level of drugs prescribed is out for how I am currently, then I discuss it with them. It's about being responsible.
I have a direct debit scheme set up, I wouldn't be able to afford all the medication I'm on otherwise.
