The Beatles are crap and anything George Harrison wrote was better than Lennon and mcCartney?

HA HA HA HA!!!

This should be in the joke section.

Funny I`ve never heard any actual musicians saying anything other than they have been massively influenced by the Beatles?

And you can`t look back 40 years and laugh at their clothes and hair unless you want to have a go at Mozart as well.

Thought the Liverpudlian plebs comment was a bit unneccessary myself...

Anything George Harrison wrote was better than Lennon & McCartney ok heres the proof

John Lennon Imagine euck pretenitious garbage

Paul McCartney/Wings oops ive falled asleep typing about him

George Harrison My Sweet Lord classic

Greenmanwalk you got it bang on. I quite like one or two Beatles tracks but the vast majority is pap designed to appael to the lowest common denominator (pop idol anyone). Many of their contemporaries were vastly superior in terms of inovation, experimentation and raw talent. And whats all this muck about rock and blues, they were never a rock 'n' roll band or a blues band they were a cheap pop band with no integrity like Take That or any 80's/90's boy band. The Stones were a proper rock band and the Doors were a proper blues band.

PS. All their best songs were covers.

lovin it, lovin it. go greenmanwalk and nelsonpique! everyone has their own taste and saying that without the beatles we would all be singing coom -by- yar me lord is a bit desperate and somewhat pretentious! its a bit like saying that if someone different had invented the radio, i pods wouldn't exist now. load of tosh i say x :)
as fascinating as all you people think you are. your ideas of the beatles not being an influential group is a total nonsense.between 1963 and 1970 they were not only the best thing since sliced bread but also probably bigger than jesus himself.there early stuff (63-65) had very little merit for me,but post 65 ther body of work is unmatched by anyone.revolver is quite simply the greatest collection of songs ever layed down on vinyl by any group or individual either before or since.to match perfection is i would imagine nigh on impossible but they did when they released sgt peppers.the rolling stones were a cover group of all the blues artists that had ever been and became the second best to the beatles only after the beatles wrote them their first major hit "i wanna be your man".come on having sank without a trace.the beatles influenced more bands than anyone else by leading the way to the usa a route followed by all uk bands in the years to come.if your'e going to slag off the beatles which is your right then at least have the courtesy to have listened to some of their music.controversy is a good thing when it poses a question that requires a response.yours was ill conceived because of your obvious ignorance.by the way ringo was not keith moon but there again mooney was not ginger baker was he?...nuff said!
