Regarding the 'Cecil' costume - you have to ponder whether the dreadful absence of taste and humour demonstrated by the person who designed it, is eclipsed by the dreadful absence of the same from anyone who would actually buy it, and the wear it in public.

If you are going to argue - at least argue from a position of strength, which is backed up considerably by the accuracy of your statements.
Caitlyn Jenner is not 'a man dressed up as a woman' - she has a woman who has had gender reassignment, that makes her a woman not dressed up as anything. The idea of a costume demeaning her is nasty and cheap, but as advised previously I am not personally offended.
"Secondly -to dress up as a dentist with a cuddly lion who is pretending to be the jerk that slaughtered a lion -to me that makes a joke out of the man not the Act."
It's not a 'cuddly lion' - it's the head of a lion - the veracity of the costume demands that it shows the trophy head of the lion, which was the reason for killing it in the first place.
As far as that making a joke out of the man wearing it - I think that's a subtlety that will be lost on the millions of people around the world who regarded the slaughter of the lion as an act of criminal barbarity, and as such, not really a subject for humour.
But as I said - I merely question the taste and humour of the people who make buy and wear these things - it doesn't matter to me one way or the other, I don't go anywhere where I would see one being worn.
" Christ sometimes on here its best not to mention the word 'pin' in case here is a mass 'popping of peoples inflated egos's"
Not sure where egos come into this? I and several others are simply expressing a viewpoint - as indeed are you - no evidence that one is superior to the other.

Goodness...what happened to the Retrochic who so often posted that we should be able to voice an opinion without others getting personal...
Without looking back I don't think anyone said your son couldn't wear this outfit and you couldn't find it fun and amusing....
Andy asked for opinions.....I gave mine which differs from yours.....
I have an opinion....it's not an inflated ego....where that comes from I don't know....but you can put the pins away....☺

Gness -I was not complaining about peoples opinions, but the way sometimes they are extressed, and the 'pin' joke was aimed at those who seem to think the more they write the better their argument comes over ,which to me is the opposite and one tends to glaze over after the fifth paragraph. Live and let live, within reason of course, peoples capacity for gross offence seems at times mercurial.

That could explain why you have yet to respond to the demolition of your arguments in favour of this tawdry practice which I posted yesterday.
You can read it sections and have a little rest in-between if you feel the need.
