//You Git condemn yourself out of your own mouth- the evidence is clear for anyone who wishes to read it.//
Don't try and tell me it is a typo because you always call him AOG. It is just utter personal rudeness - from someone constantly going on to others that they shouldn't be rude. "
If you were a gentleman you would suspend yourself."
I would not dream of passing it off as a typo – it was entirely deliberate.
AOG referred to me as ‘Hughes’ which is something I have not been called for well over forty years, since I left school, and on another thread which I know he has seen, I referred to it, and requested courtesy from the AB’er who said it.
Therefore AOG decided to be deliberately rude in a way which he knew I would not appreciate.
I felt justified therefore in doing exactly the same in return – knowing that AOG has been upset by people doing the self-same thing to him.
I am a gentleman, but I have no intention of suspending myself thank you. As the record shows, I have never suspended anyone on this site – if others choose to do so, that is a matter for them, and a result of what they feel about what they have read that the suspended AB’er has written. Maybe previously suspended AB’ers should be a little more wary of bandying even more personal vitriol around – in view of what can happen as a result.

News reaches us that volcanic Mount Pomposity has become increasingly active over the last few weeks.
Past observations suggest, however, that there is no danger apart from a lot of hot air leading to blustery conditions locally for a prolonged period.
Residents are advised to curb their curiosity and not try to interact for fear of being slashed ////////\\\\\\\ or left bemused, bamboozled and ultimately empty.

yeah I was gonna say less about the Man Hughes and more about the carnaval
I went a few years ago and it was a fun place to go
no violence and some pickpockets
got a tee shirt
and I even think that if I were asked to play a base-line on the drums then I could do it ( learn three notes and you are away )
Big big carnaval in Manc this week end for northerners
all welcome
the only drag (! pun intended ) is that entry fee is £30
and there are persistent rumours of corruption

Well these two of Brixton's finest will not be attending Carnival this year.
Just look at their form. 19 previous for Robbery and two with guns.
Just where do they fit in the time to seek meaningful honest work .
Oh well only two out the way. Plenty more like them will be at Carnival. :-(

Mamyalynne - "There will be far more people at Carnival (any carnival) who are law abiding than those with criminal intent."
A valid point – and one that it’s easy to lose among the hoo-hah of the undesirables.
The problem is the same for criminals, terrorists, Carnival ne’er-do-wells – they are newsworthy, the people who number the vast majority – having a good time – are not.

I'm well aware of that, I'm old enough to have goes to festivals in the 60s and 70s and where large crowds gather there will always be an undesirable element however small in number.
Report crime by all means nothing wrong with that, but if we begin to demonise one gathering do we demonise them all?

Another orgy of thieving, drug dealing, rape, stabbings. No wonder they don't want anyone filming it.//

What year(s) did you attend?
Did you witness any or all of the above?//

Svejk - "You don't have to be somewhere to know a bit about it."
No, lacking personal experience of somewhere does allow you to make sweeping unfounded statements that's true - but it hardly adds validity to the point being made does it?//

Hey Tora, let's talk about Notting Hill Carnival shall we?
Have you ever been? I haven’t, I live too far from London, so if you have, some personal experience would be interes//
Well now we have it again on this post. The snake oil salesman will question dave50 on his opinion. Almost challenging his post on what authority he has on the subject!!
After the usual cut and paste verbosity and opining our resident Charlatan admits he has never attended the carnival. This is after he once again has insulted anyone who has a different opinion and actually speak of any knowledge of attending the event.
It would be worth remembering that the verbal diahorrea from this salesman does not hold much water and cannot be accepted from experience of what he opines.
This is the same person who will admit that he writes articles for a non entity musical magazine about a subject he knows nothing about. Check out the Montreal music festival he was sent to report on.
Why bother to take over and ruin someone elses post on a subject you know nothing about. Really sad and should be ignored.
