Hello can anyone tell me why Scotch eggs are called so were they made with Scotch whiskey ?

Bath Sealer

Does anybody know how to remove sealent from along the side of the bath?  The stuff my partner put on looks messy and we want to try again - however, the stuff used seems to have been made...
