the bank returned my cheque marked "Insufficient Funds,"I called them up and asked if they meant you or them.

Interest Only Mortgage

My brother is paying an interst only mortgage but says he is paying a large amount into a bank account to pay off the balance every 12 months or so - Is this a good idea?

Mortgage switching to low variable rate

My fixed rate mortgage (currently 5.9%) ends next month and the mortgage description then says it switches to 'a variable rate which is 1.69% above the base rate until the end of the mortgage term'....
