TV Keeps Going Off

Can anyone tel me what is wrong please. TV comes on but after a few seconds it is switching itself off. We've tried changing the batteries in the remote control - but to no avail. Any ideas please.

Cursor Disappearing ?

On my Mums new laptop, the cursor has vanished! There is a small red light top left corner of the touch-pad. How can we get the cursor back and why has it happened. Any help appreciated. Thank you.
