Using symbols in emails

When I write a document in 'Word', I have the option 'Add symbol' for accents and umlauts etc. but I can't figure out how to do this when writing emails in Outlook Express, is this possible please?

email deleteing on desktop pc very strange

my email on my desktop pc for some reason when i delete a email it just puts a line through the contact but stays in my inbox why is this what setting do i need to change as was fine before. even now...
