Washing machine bearing.

My hotpoint washing machine is getting noisy. Is it possible/easy/cheap to replace a bearing?

Another laminate floor question

Regarding the gap left around the outer edge.  I've seen cork strips for sale to fit this gap.  Is it neceesary to buy and fit this?  Or is it fine to leave the gap empty, before...
