Ultrasound Scan Images

I'm told that ultrasound images are light sensitive and will fade... can they be scanned using a flatbed scanner, or will that wipe the image? HAs anybody tried this?

My TV is not NTSC compatible and therefore region 1 DVDs played on a PS2 can only be viewed in black & white. Does anybody know how I can prevent this (short of buying a different TV)??
