Internet speed

I have just changed my isp, to virgin, and whenever i click on a web site it takes about 20 seconds to open up. i have done a speed test and i am getting what i should (2 mb) but i feels like dial up....

whenever i try and access a web site it takes a long time to open up, i've done a few speed checks and its fine. and it happens on any web site so its not the site. any ideas? cheers
