Hello all, yes that is frightening, but I have seen it myself loads of times...children near shop doors, once a child alone on an escalator....the mums wandering off. Dh used to send me off to corral the child, he would never approach or touch in case of being misunderstood.

I still help lost children, but I usually sit with them in the place I found them, and wait for a copper or their parent to turn up.

Just made coronation chicken, pot salad, spanish tortilla, and chicken wings.
it is, isn't it. My mum kept her marbles until she died, as did her mum - but both her parents had to go into a home. Her father kept trying to burn the house down.

My poor dad was the opposite, his body had gone but his mind was as bright as ever, he got so frustrated when trying to tell us something and we couldn't understand. He hated just laying there not able to do much but with a very active mind.

Woofy, I have just found the perfect place for keys, I went out and left mine in the door all morning, so didn't have to look for them!!!
People fear dementia more than cancer apparently ...me too.

Well another day's wooshed by and its time to eat... again. :o/
Morning...am I in the right place? Have you all been whooshed down the plughole?

Bright, chilly, sunny and rain later so I need to nip out pdq. One of my friends put a euromillions ticket in my card for last night...it hasn't won a bean so I'm taking it back to the shop to complain. tut
it seems jno and jnr and gf are off to Twickenham for the rugby 7s. By the look of the photos they have sent, he is dressed as a bright green crocodile and she as a pink cow. I'd look out for them on telly but I expect the whole crowd will be dressed up like that.
good morning all. We went out for a late night drive last night to avoid fireworks. When we got home it was windy and noisy so we had late supper and stayed up watching TV. You know that new wardrobe I bought to replace the one I dropped down the stairs? Well I sensibly decided to paint all the bits before constructing it as i would be easier. Only I have lost the construction instructions.....
I think you'll find that widget K attaches to shelf B if you use allen key Q and screws F, but don't try using screws G as you'll damage the back panel U.
jno.....are you busy??????
Panic over. I found the instructions in the sensible place where I had put them.
ah, the back of the sofa then.
oh, you've still got a few hours to get to Snibston

you know what jno....I had actually tucked the instructions into the bag with the canvas cover in and put the cover in the bedroom where the wardrobe will be! too sensible, no wonder I couldn't find it!
compost in a bottle sounds like fun!
Afternoon all
Funny day ,rain ,sun, rain, sun. April showers in May ,perhaps we're going backwards .We had a big time stylee thunderstorm here yesterday. Hope you are all Ok .
That's very poignant Neti .I fear losing my marbles more than anything .
I've known some people, family and friends who have and it's an awful thing especially when they were vibrant ,intelligent people .
Not much doing at Shaneytowers . I'm still bandaged up and have to go back on Tuesday.

Well hello there! Mr N and hija were home ALL DAY and I just couldn't stand it so went to village where was a gym/dance show at the town hall outside, and then free zumba for everyone, well I couldn¡t miss the chance so some older person and I and loads of kids did it, and I loved it, so am going back to classes.

Went to have my hair trimmed, and the salon was empty so I though Great, but the two usual ones weren't there so made an appointment for Monday. I feel mean now as I think the one there is just as good, I should have given her a chance. Have sunbathed and swam and Mr N pumped up the lilo.

We have our best friends arriving on 28th May which is why I want hair done now, to give it chance to grow a bit!
Question Author
I am very scared of getting dementia and I do forget an awful lot these days, things that I usually would have known, 1960's singers etc, worries me but what can I do about it?
when you forget to pump up the lilo before you jump on it, you'll know it's setting in.

Hmmm... this sounds like a useful academic study
