I see Leslie Thomas has died .I think I've read all his books over the years .All very enjoyable especially Dangerous Davies.

I understood every word you wrote Neti .Can I have my prize :)
Goodnight lovelies ,sleep toight .
Good morning all. I'm sorry I've not been on lately but I have a few probs at the mo. Not being 'dramatic' just can't go on about it on here.

Robi I'm so sorry I missed your birthday. I hope you had a lovely day.

I hope all of you are happy and battling on, like you do! Love Jude x

Bordid...I'm fed up of this stuffy dose. Hey ho, I don't think I need a thread in B&S about it just yet.:) Thanks for your Ozzy wishes, he seems very calm about it but it must be worrying him, he's like me, calm above water, paddling like hell underneath. When Tarquin's stressed everyone is aware of it, lol.

Hi Jude, sorry you've got problems...we're always available by email ya know.

Hope your burn's healing shaney...and the rest of you...wakey! wakey!
Weather is abysmal, cold and wet.

Morning or whatever, here I is, refreshed with a slight headache, but have cleaned the house and bathroom washed 2 loads ironed all Mr N's holiday clothes and met GBF for coffee which didn't go down at all well.
Hi Jude, sorry you've got problems...we're always available by email ya know.

Hello all

Had a cooked brekkie too ,with fried bread ,it was lovely .
Hope you're all as well as.
Troshing down with rain here too now and chilly with it .
The burn is a lot easier thank you and not throbbing any more .
Yoohoo Jude .Hope everything's alright .You know where we are .
hello all. We went out this morning early had a lovely wander then came home. Dogs hunted the garden while I had an early coffee then we all went back to sleep and woke up at 11.45. we must be catching up on kip. Believ it or not the dogs are back asleep again.
Jude you have out thoughts and good wishes, but you know that.
Shaney, I am glad your arm is feeling better.
(waves to Neti and Robi) Neti was the coffee not digestible or did someone disapprove?
Robi my sniffles seem to be subsiding with the rain, hope yours will too.
Question Author
woofy my head and stomach disapproved.
Neti I have answered your cooking question.
Question Author
ta woofy, just roasting the pots as normal now. Using a bag for the chicken as it saves the oven from getting splattered.
I have just had sushi, two cream cakes and two glasses of wine. It was lovely.
I went to Specsavers and had an eye test, which as I suspected gave very different results from the CostCo one I had three weeks ago... goodness knows how that happens, but I'm sure the second one is right and the first was way wrong.

Rain seems to have stopped play on the trellis front but Bob the builder was able to do the indoor jobs (one door wouldn't shut and another one wouldn't open), so things are looking up.
Question Author
Roast chicken very nice, but won't do it in a bag again as although it was cooked beautifully, moist and tender, the skin wasn't crispy, and that is a sin in our house!!
Neti, nothing crisps in a roasting bag. You can cook it mostly on the bag then open it at the end to crisp.
yes, do it in a bag of crisps next time, that should sort it
the sun is shining, the builder is working and I am up.
Morning all...sunny & windy, sadly not warm enough to make anything crisp, just curled up at the edges.

Where do the days go? For every year over 50 do we lose half an hour each day? They certainly seem to whizz by me, even the ones when I'm not feeling so good.

Hope your bum...err, burn is better shaney (that made me laugh)
Derby News....
I saw this video first thing this morning and I did think that...
a) the man was older than the 60ish they were estimating
b)that it was probably a genuine mistake (for another child or the man was 'confused')

...But see how quickly it happens...luckily the mum turned around. I see them sauntering along, on their mobiles, chatting to each other, taking no notice of a trailing child. They all need to see this...

Morning all
Sunny atm,was raining ,looks like a bit of a blustery couple of days ahead .
Hope you're all ok .
I've to go and get the burn dressed again this afto Robinia .It's a bit of lark trying to keep it dry though .I have to wash and dress myself with a rubber glove on my hand which is secured with waterproof tape ..lol.
It does look as if he was going to snatch the child on that video..
Hopefully it was just a genuine mistake .

Morning all, why would the man take the kid's hand and walk away with it? Scary, but it doesn't "feel" evil to me. yes some of these mothers are always on the phone or nattering to friends and the kids just trail along behind. The most precious things we have and we are most careless with them.

Lovely sunny day here, been out and got two greyish flowers for hair for the wedding. not the best but will do until something better comes along. Had coffee with GBF and his "Closet" friend who is gay and won't admit it. Bought 2 bottles of the cologne I wear as they run out very quickly. and 3 more packs of white pegs as they snap in the sun!! Also bought another new pair of reading specs (4.0) as the last ones broke when I was reading in bed!.

Hope you are all OK, especially jude.
Update...they're removing the video...

'THOUGHT CHILD HAD WALKED AWAY'
12:32: Det Ch Insp Nick Lamb says police have spoken to an 80-year-old man after he came forward, following CCTV footage showing him leading a toddler from his mother.
He tells BBC Radio Derby: "The gentleman was a bit confused thinking the child had walked away from his mother who was making off in another direction.
"The problem was, he immediately sought to take the child's hand and take him to the person he thought was the mother but in fact taking him away from his actual mother."

It was the speed of it I found disturbing.
