Fish pie was really nice, sauce was made from milk, ginger, blk pepper and mustard, and I sliced cooked tatties on the top, topped with grated cheddar and grilled...... hija had left some diced watermelon, with feta cubes in a herbie dressing so I added mixed lettuce leaves (yes we are that modern, we get them in bag too!) added some vinaigrette dressing (home made) and it was lush, of course we had to have ketchup with it!!

Finished off with an ice cream cake with caramel balls and spray cream, am stuffed.

I am showered and sitting in bed waiting BGT semi finals!! Poor Mr N has to go to the airport at 00.00hrs.
Blimey it's not very happy in Happy Valley .What a great series .
Your pie sounds nice Neti .Ours was tasty and we had Eton Mess for afters .
Still raining here and there's been some flooding especially in Norwich .I thought we'd seen the last of the floods !
Goodnight all.
Question Author
Haven't seen Happy Valley yet, tomorrow night for me.

Love eton mess but am still trying not to overdo the sweeties. Love being slim at least til after the wedding.

Oight oight all
big wave to everybody. We went back to town today for two more quilts and an olive tree and to return 4 of the 7 shirts. I offered sis a fish to hang over her bed, either here or at her house and she declined sort of politely.

We have had an excellent idea...You know the dementia friends thing? Seriously its a good idea but Sis and I are going to get a dementia friends badge and take it in turns to wear it. The one not wearing the badge can be as forgetful as they like all day and the other one has to be sensible for both of us. I think it could catch on?
Rab has got a sore shoulder again so walks are off for the moment.

have gt all the happy valleys to watch, we are watching Vera cos Sis missed 3 cos of being on hols.
Hope you are all keepin well, jno, where is the greek sunshine please?
Morning pixel pals...oh no, not another wet day, I don't think I've spoken to a human since Sunday morning. (no offence :))

I'm not sure that system would work with me and my sister woofy, we'd have a problem with one of us being totally sensible... between us we just about get by.
I know how Rab feels, I've had a sore shoulder muscle (trapezius?) for a couple of days, very uncomfortable in bed and it keeps cramping.

I can't imagine how Happy Valley's going to end...especially for the kidnapped girl? (trying to not spoil it)

S'pose I'd better paint on a smile and brave the elements. I can usually find someone to have a grumble with :)

Mr N came back from airport with 6pork pies, huge lump of cheddar, big mushroom farm pate and delicious honeyed ham. I was chomping on pork pies at 1.30 in the morning.
Morning all
Another dreary one .Hope you're all ok though .
You won't stay very slim if you keep chomping on pork pies Neti .Pass them over here please :)
oooh, bad pork pies...http://www.dailymail.co.uk/health/article-2089514/41st-father-gorged-pork-pie-sandwiches-night-loses-half-body-weight.html
Question Author
Am I bovvered? I only have maybe two mini pork pies a year ( although 3 up to now) they are delicious!
Been out, very chilly and miz. I was so fed up I did a tour of all the charity shops but all I found was some baby wool. It'll keep me busy until I decide what to make for myself.... someone will have one sooner or later or I can send whatever I knit to some cause.

I love pork pie but it doesn't like me. I've been fancying corned beef so I popped into the deli to buy some and came out with a big ready made c beef salad cob/roll. I'll have it with some chips for my tea...now that's idle :)
I've been out too. Ventured into town .Bought 3 bras, then had a toddle round the market where I bought some cornish spuds .The smell of chips kept wafting under my nostrils but there was nowhere to sit to eat them.I forgot the ankle snappers are on half term .
I love a nice pork pie with some pickle or mustard .
Question Author
Hotish here today and all we could smell was curry from the local curry restaurant, it reminded me of my london days when I lived above a curry restaurant in Golders Green. Mind you it's a bit off putting in this heat!!

Couldn't wait to put pickle or anything on my pork pie!
Question Author
Shaney may I ask where do you buy your bras?
Good morning all. Back to the usual now. Drs this morning for my latest checkup. I've been off the Pentasa for a month and all seems ok so he may say don't come back ever again!!!
The weather isn't very cheerful today. Dull and damp but I'm in the mood for getting cracking so some household jobs may just get done.
My first was sorting out my boiler which has been off for weeks but decided to come on at 5. So I've been sitting up in bed reading the instruction book. Apparently the radio gadget lost contact with the receiver. Don't ask! Hopefully sorted now so I'm off for a shower.
Have a good day. See yer later!

Morning Jude and all others.

Yes hope you are OK now.
Sunny day here.
Morning all
Not very nice here .Raining again.
Neti .I'm cheap and cheerful and bought bras in Bonne Marche.
I had some from there once before and they were a good fit unlike the expensive ones I bought in M&S which had something in the elastic on the straps and under bosom bit that irritated my skin .
Nice sales assistant too who was very helpful and measured me.
I got two T shirt type and an underwired one all for 25 quid .

Question Author
Thanks for that shaney, I've never thought of Bonne March for bras, will have a shufty when in Eastburne.
1000!

A'noon all...another cold, soggy day. No incentive to do anything.
Hmmm, not interested in my bras I see....but I'll tell you anyway...I get most from Next, I was surprised at the choice they have, lovely colours and quality. They last for ages but they're not exactly under great strain.
