I'm not too fond of Next, not much there to my liking, except I did buy from nude platform shoes there in 2012 for the wedding, they are so uncomfortable I've only worn them 2x. Mind you most high heels are umcomfotable for me!

Been sunbathing again, it's so hot now, had to go in the pool, wanted to say jump in the pool, but can never do that, I'm terrified. I am getting such a lovely unusual (for me) tan colour, I'll soon be able to claim benefits!!

I found my missing bra, it's been missing for a week, and I found it in my boil washed duvet cover from last week, how I didn't notice it when folding said duvet I'll never know, maybe it's because my bras are so small and gossamer like!!!!!!
maybe I should go out shopping, it might stop me vegetating and my ankles swelling. But it is chilly here, and there's nothing I want to buy, not even nude shoes.
You should do some exercises for those ankles Jno or at least put your legs up higher than your heart now and again .I still get swelling in the ankle from where I had that gammy leg some time ago .
It's a really miserable dull day here .
Lol Neti ..mine are more like armour plating ,I'm drifting south at a rate of knots !
Question Author
Yes shaney I need plated armour which is why I am surprised that I missed the one lurking in the duvet cover.

My god, that Happy Valley, it's good isn't it, without giving anything away for woofy.
M&S are my choice for bras. Not that I need them really. That's as far as I'm going on that subject.
Been to the Drs and he doesn't want to see me again yeh! Even though he's sent me for a glucose tolerance test. I'm going on Monday when I've been on a no sugar weekend. It's a 2 test one before and after a glucose drink and a wait of about 2 hours in between!
I really would like some sunshine now. I want to get out in my garden.
This began in a gardening question for me so here's another one.
I have some lovely huge red poppies given to me by Fuschia and they're flopping all over the place. Please what can I do? Any help would be appreciated.
Off for a Skype chat now. See yer later gaters!
hello all, another busy day here, we went shopping and had a sarnie lunch in the car then sis helped me load spare bedlinen into the attic. Her new bed is smaller than the old one but the sheets she had fit my bed so i am putting them in store, they are lovely heavy silky tencel fabric and M and S seem to have stopped doing it wouldn't you know, so I now officially have enough to last me the rest of my life. Rab's shoulder is clearing up nicely. I have let him go out and hunt the garden in the dark with Shughy as he hasn't had much exercise lately.
Jno.....bookshop???
I have just brought home some Turkish guidebooks, woofy, plus an exhibition catalogue from Mardin of 19th-century photos of the Ottoman empire - it was lovely, the exhibition was free and the big catalogue was about £8. So I am avoiding bookshops for - ooh, several days. But there's always Amazon, which isn't really a bookshop because it sells other things.
Morning alll... whispers ... it's chilly but isn't raining, ssshhh....I might go mad and put some washing in.

Jude that's the problem with oriental poppies (I've got some that need moving, they're in too much shade now my garden's matured). It's a bit late now, ideally they need staking before they grow so the supports become invisible and they look natural. I find scooping plants up once they've flopped doesn't look right. Something like these should work, obviously you need more than one...if you're clever you can make your own from wire coathangers. :)

If we have any more wind and rain my canterbury bells will the next things to slump, they're very tall this year and just about to flower.
yes, we have some of those for our poppies... I am investigating whether they do ones five feet high for ...err... tall plants. Tall plants that need wheels.

Yikes, OH has been scratching a little black spot on the back of one leg for a couple of weeks - but has just pressed it and found it was an inch-long thorn that was stuck straight in. It is now extracted and Dettol is being lavished on the spot... It's a jungle out there.
Here, have a go jno :)

Good morning. Am in Ibiza waiting for the bus back. Have bought a floppy hat for the wedding(3€) and 2 neat red flowers in case I don't wea r the hat.

Was overcast but sunny now.
Crikey, it must be floppy Friday.
THE SUN IS SHINING!!!!

(Shouting it out is intentional!)

Love to you all xxx
Hello all
It's not raining .Quelle surprise .Bright and sunny here .
Hope you're all ok .
I have to giggle at some of our conversation ..it goes from floppenstoppens to floppy poppies ..lol.
it's not shining here... the grumbling is intentional too. But hello Lottie!
lol shaney, we sometimes manage to keep a theme running through our ramblings :)
I'm not too floppy but I feel like one of those wobbly birds on a spring you can buy for budgies. One false move and I'm going to be hanging upside down from my perch.

Oh terrible, a Dutch lady has just thrown hereself from a 4th floor balcony, she is dead unsurprisingly. I was on my way to get a meringue, but road was blocked, I saw the bodybag being taken into a plain white van, where they take the dead so people don't know and get spoked. Still waiting to her, but most people says she jumped, although others say she was cleaning the windows!
Poor poor woman.

Hija has dyed her hair red, and also the bathroom tiles, floor and both sidesof the beautiful pine door, impossible to remove it.
Question Author
Right it was a 56 yr old German lady who was standing on a chair on a balcony cleaning for the owners who are due to arrive and she fell! So sad.
Hi all. Gardening and catching up on emails to Aussie and other places. Thanks Robi. I totallyunderstand now about the poppies. They're beautiful but now soggy. I've managed to get a very small bunch and tied them up as they are very near a fence. There are about half a dozen buds about to come out so here's hoping. I took a lot of the soggy stuff off and they look a bit better now.
I now have only one side of my garden to sort now. I'll do that tomorrow after ny Saturday cuppa with Fuschia. I'll have a look what she has done with hers.
Off for some dinner now. Have a good evening all.
High Lottie....good to see you again.
