Mr Harv
God love him - he can't win - he either barks too much but today nothing out of him - I don't think he is great - far too quiet and usually when I am upstairs he follows me around waiting to see if he is getting out - not today.
Last night he was choking in little spurts but then it died down. Am worried regarding this tumour getting bigger. Will bring him to the vets next week.

I adopted a Labrador/German Shepherd dog when he was five years old, he still had his dangly bits. He looked sweet. He was a total head-case - no idea of his history but he wanted to kill everyone and everything. I had him for nine years (he died aged 14) and we had a great relationship. It is a nice feeling to be living with a hound who loves you nearly as much as its toys and food.
Best wishes to both of you.

Thanks all for your kind posts.
He is definitely not well as I have cooked a chicken and he would normally torture me for a piece - no, not tonight.
Also, when I was talking to him this afternoon I was calling his name, he was looking a different way from where I was sitting and when I say "get away from my window" - he is usually over barking at the window.
He has been like this before so I am not too despondent. Will make an appointment on Monday.

Well a wee update.
Mr Harv was sick last night as in vomiting and was having very laboured breathing.
I was able to bring him to an emergency vet this morning (actually my own vet) and vet said he has a high temperature and a chest infection but he didn't know if it was connected to the tumour.
He is now in doggie hospital with a drip in to give him fluids. They are
keeping him overnight and will monitor him.
That's it folks. Thanks for your interest.
