this breed had always been expensive because they are not prolific breeders and you can easily loose a whole litter without even realising they are ill. it would depend on what you reguire you kitty for. if you want a show quality you could pay anything up to 800. if you want a breed queen or stud cat, again a similar price. if you want a pet quality which again might have a slight defect from the breed standard ie eyes not as strong a colour as require or head not pronouced enought of even wrong size , you should still buy from a registered breeder but they will be a lot cheaper. a good breeder will want to know about your home if you have kids how old they are and might even pay you a visit. they may also ask you to bring your other family members with you. dont think that they are being fussy. this is a good breeder who cares about her cats and their future and will recomend which of her kittys will suit you and will advise you in years to come. you can get a list from the cat fancy.by the way have you thought about what colour you want, their are so many now, that also affects what you pay.
