Problem getting rid of neighbours cat

Hello all. I have a problem with a neighbours pet. It is constantly using my garden and drive as a toilet. It will also kill birds in my garden which it then leaves a ball of feathers and use my car to sit on and this has resulted in scratches over my bonnet. I have tried to be reasonable with me neighbours but they refuse to keep the cat inside their home and off my property. So last week I caught their fleebag cat and drove it about 5-6 miles down the road and dumped it (I thought this to be more humane than just killing it). Then about 3 or 4 days later I come home from work and catch it in my garden again. The little bugger had found its way back! So I plan to catch it again asap. This time I will either drive it about 25-30 miles from its home and dump it or just put it in the oven and turn the gas on. I would just like to know your thoughts on which method you think will be best for myself and the cat. Thanks.

My neighbours have 3 cats, they used to come into my garden and use it as a toilet, and kill the birds which I feed daily, I bought a water pistol and every time I saw I them I gave them a good dowsing with water, they don't come here much any more!......Doesn't hurt them, but they hate it!.................worked for me!........

My neighbours complained about cats soiling his new lawn, I gave him a bottle of cat deterrent crystals, that appears to have worked.

Thanks nibble, yes it does work, and you're not harming what is someone else's pet either!..........I dislike the damage that cats can do in my garden, but I hate to think of hurting any living thing, so this is a good solution for me!.................

Elsewhere there are regulations stipulating the responsibilities the owners of animals must face up to, urban and rural. Unidentified stray animals are rounded up and unless adopted are soon put down. In the circumstances you describe the cat owner would be prosecuted for causing a nuisance - so maybe you should follow tamborine's advice.

Talking about cats, ughhhh
there are lots of cats around where i live, and theres always one in particular keeps coming up to me when i finish work trying to get into the house. Today had been a nightmare, the cat was waiting for me at the door, i tried to push it away but it would not budge, so i walked away and it followed me, i walked back to the door, it followed me, i kept saying 'Go AWAY' 5 mins later and still sticking right at me. then i thought i had a chance to get into the house, as the cat was walking away.... as soon i put my keys in and just about to open the door the Swine come shooting right at the door, its a good job i kept it shut. then another ten mins later i think he or she got it in the end that i was not going to let it in!!!

Whitebear, this cat was obviously not well cared for, if they are not, then they will look for a home where they will be!........that's why this cat wanted to get into your home!..........shame really!.....if it's owner cared for it well it would not be trying to get adopted!......................

the last two cats i had adopted me like that. just sat outside the door looking sorry for themselves and hungry.next thing you know out comes a tin of tuna and your suddenly a cat owner!

that cat also wanted me to stroke him/her and kept rolling on the floor etc. i did feel bad but i didnt want the cat to get too attached to me, also not really a cat lover.
