ruthan....no,he has had no medication...........thanks anyway.
he couldn't have received a bang to the head could he? I had a cat hit by a car who went temporarily blind and disorientated as there was swelling and pressure on the optic nerve.
just googled, it could be high blood pressure
Could be lots of things I suppose. Hypertension in cats ( and the eye symptoms) can be associated with hyperthyroidism which is quite common in older cats. You can ususally tell though - the cat gets skinny with a shaggy coat and ravenous appetite. I had my Mum`s cat checked out for that a while ago (negative).
Oh dear is it possible that he had a stroke?

One of ours had that at 21 - led to blindness but we had just moved and the vet said that as we had just moved boots would not be able to adjust - that why I suggested you stick to a routine xx
Hey Sqad, some helpful answers above. I can't add to this other than take him to the vets and see what they can say, but TALK to him. Blind animals need their human's voice more than ever.

Other than that, cyber hugs to Airborne (and to his loving human slave). x
Can't offer any advice but just wanted to say that I hope Airborne is okay, you're so good with our human ailments, I wish I could be more helpful.:(
Awwwww Sqad, it's heartbreaking when one of your pets is suffering :(

The poor thing, must be very distressing for you all.

Could Airbourne had eaten or drank anything which could have set some kind of a reaction off?

Not much I can say but I'd be in bits too.
